I actually think its good that they don't do a Public Beta.
Public beta's are alright for testing servers,but its hard to do any real testing in a public beta.
When your in a closed beta you can actually look for graphical errors and glitches,test the controls and its a lot more productive, because the people your testing with are mostly there to really try to make the game better, not just play a early demo.

3: Input device : I have a keyboard and a 360 controller, I also have the Ace Edge xbox 360 flight stick, I also have a saitek X52 flight stick.

5: "Beta testing" for community created games on Linux. (In other words, I pretty much just tested it and said what could be improved/balanced and spoke of overall gameplay.) and beta testing for various features on MyYearBook.com and Webs.com (previously freewebs.com)
