Default Best free video editing software?

I use VirtualDub but need a better video editor that includes ways to change audio tracks in the video as well.

Pinnacle have an excellent editing suite and you can get a 30 day fully functioning free trial. 1.9GB download. Get all your ducks in a row and you could knock out a few vids in 30 days.

I'm pretty sure you can change the audio track of a video in Vdub.
When you have your movie opened up click 'Audio' then 'Audio from other file'. That brings up any audio files you have in Mydocs. So if you have created something using mixing software, or whatever sound you want, and have put it in Mydocs you can place it on the vid.

Thanks. I will have to look into that.
You know, I asked this same question over at UBI and with 35 views since this morning I have not one response. What is going on over there?

Thank you all for your help so far.

Meh I used Vurtual Dub and Windows movie maker in the past, they really are not that good. Sony Vagas Pro seems to be the way to go but its mega expensive...

No great shakes but best I could do:

I also made this one like a Wochenschau ages ago when I was in a RO unit:

The black and white went wrong in youtube...

This ones not by me but same programs:

I looked at that place the other day and it has turned into somewhat of a ghost town. It must be the look of it now. It has drove everybody away.
Good luck with your movie making.
