Yeah you don't normally hear of those types of losses, but they happened. In Ulrich Steinhilpers book he talks about his squadron practicing dive attacks in the 109's but the cloud cover was lower than expected and about 12 of them went straight in.

I got up to #15 so far, stirring stuff, will continue later

Is there a torrent or the like where I can download the interview as a whole(instead of 30+parts)?

Thank you very much for conserving his memories, there aren't too many tapes of veterans around, and even less vets left.
