Default questions regarding graphics performance to the beta testers.

Hello all,

Perhaps others would benefit from this question as well..

My system specs are the following..

Intel 3.2ghz I7 along with 12GB ddr3 ram.

My video is where i'm hurting. I have currently a 8800GTS 512mb.

I was able to play rise of flight at some decent graphics levels however I take it that CoD is going to be up to par visually as RoF.
So heres my questions. I can afford a GTX580, however, would I be able to get away with a Nvidia GTX 570? With CoD at max settings with mid rang AA & AF

It's at least $150 cheaper and I'm one for saving money whenever I can. However It might be better just to go with the 580 giving the reviews I have read.

Any of the beta testers out there played the game at high levels with some nvidia cards other than the gtx580? and how was gameplay?

-Thanks

The fact that we have heard nothing from the beta testers indicates that they are still under an NDA and as such will not be able to answer.

For a game that has gone gold, we don't hear much about anything.

Lucky I will make my own opinions on March 31st, I just hope arcade mode is easy, I hate pressing 20 keys to take off

Why don't you wait for the info that will flood this forums once our Russian friends get the game?

Hi m8

The 570 is a good card. I just dropped one into my case a couple of days ago and RoF runs fine with all settings at max including vsync on @ 1920x1080 res. Even with a third party dynamic campaign generator (supposed to tax RoF even more) I can'T find any kind of stuttering or slowdown. I'm pretty sure CoD will be more of a resource hog, especially regarding CPU strain, but I'm rather confident that a 570 will hold its own pretty much on GPU related issues until oleg decides to activate dormant features through patches, etc. I don't expect that to happen anytime in the near future but then again my crystal ball isn't all seeing either.

If you get a good price I'd say go for it. I'm happy that I did. CoD isn't the only game you're playing and the 570 won't rape you financially.

my 0,02$

Cheers
