Default What is the exact logic behind a 1 month delay for north america?

for digital distribution?

It would be one thing if it was 1998 and there was no such thing as DD but its 2011 and there is absolutely no reason what so ever for a delayed digital release.

unless the non russian versions are not finished (which isnt true because UK gets in on the 31st.) there is no reason for this at all.

Its like these publishers are completely retarded when it comes to what the consumer wants.

-Ubisoft takes a strong stand on pirates , implements spyware into computers and rapes the honest consumer. Pirates are uneffected

-Decide to delay the game in north america , give honest consumers even more reason to pirate the game then wait a month for your corporate bullshit that makes no logical sense what so ever.

what is next?

It could just be that development ran a little later than planned so localisation has subsequantly been pushed back. Games that come the other way across the pond quite often get delayed while they go through the localisation process from US English to UK English. There is never any justification for downloading a pirate version, you just feed the demand making the situation worse.

Check your own yard first and think about why ESBR-Rating needs 3-4 weeks to check and rate a label from outside the US.

Then think about some dark conspiracy against poor USA. But don't forget to ask, from which side of the fence this conspiracy is initiated.

you should be happy...our cousins on the other side of the pond get to deal with all the bugs (and fix them) like ..wont install, cant activate, CTD, cant join MP...the usual problems for a new game

Since when is 19 days a month?

Don't get me wrong -I'm distressed that my American buddies in my squad will have to wait a while (and that goes for most of the rest of you) - but none of my pals are giving it so much gloom and doom.

As for "Ubisoft takes a strong stand on pirates , implements spyware into computers and rapes the honest consumer. Pirates are uneffected" - well, please, do you really think that? Even if Ubisoft are somewhat less than efficient at distribution, I would rather see them making attempts to prevent piracy than not. The DRM they have imposed looks to be quite user-friendly.

Make a nice change for the delay being in America instead of everywhere but America.
