Newbie question about magic

Is there a limit to the number of spells you can learn? I mean, a space limitation? I know there's the limit due to crystals, but general space? The point is that I "learned" a spell that I don't really want to use. I guess I can just try to learn another spell and see if it takes.

If there is a limit, is there any way to remove a learned spell?

Thank you! I had read the hints to not randomly do a lot of spells because you'll need the crystals later, but I got carried away once I got Order Magic. Oh well--I wish there was a way to test each spell once, keeping the scroll. Anyway, thanks for helping me.
