Blind: Cancel om damage?

I've blinded a mob (Goblins e.g.) and then Lightning on them, then the blind is gone. Description says nothing about no damage?

You are correct, blind is removed when a unit is damaged. It is probably the weakest of the control spells, especially in cases where you can get Fear to work.
