The spit Mk XIV in the game has what was known as the LF for Low Flight wing. The tips were cut off and squared off to offer a better turning radius at low altitude. At least that's what it looks like in the pics I've seen, haven't unlocked it yet myself.

Looks good in game.

Desert camo ruins it, but it looks good. Clipped wings and teardrop canopy not wuite as sexy as the hurricane though lol.


As nice as it is, it doesnt perform as well in a turn compared to the IX.

some of them did, but all in all thye stuck with the standard wing.

cliped wings does mean a squared off wing it was an option on late spitfires to increce roll at the cost of some turning

3) Spitfire Series

FW 190D-9 is my overall favorite, but the one in the game handles alot like the 1968 Opel Kadett station wagon that I bought from my grandfather for $500 when I was in highschool. The Opel even had a better roll rate -- believe me, I know...

BF 109K (by default really. Although I've always like the Spits, I find their performance a little too "Glorified" in this game -- like the Russian planes -- so using them is kind of boring.)

fantastic fire power, not so great turing rate and great speed.

Don't forget the 109C's. They were the main 109 model in the Spanish Civil War. The D's came in second, and the early E's hardly had an appearance.
