Default View control with mouse

Does anyone else find the modeled delay of head movements extremely irritating? It can take my pilot about 2 seconds to turn his around when I move the mouse to the rear of the cockpit. Does trackir suffer from this same type of movement?

I can understand they don't want the steroid neck of Il-2 but it seems a bit much considering it takes me about .3 seconds to turn my head in the car.

Before people say what about g! I'm talking about just flying straight and level.

Its one of the major things that detracts from my enjoyment of the sim at the moment (now that I've got it working to a playable level).

Anyone else have this gripe?

At least with FreeTrack the movement is instant.

I do find it extremely irritating as well and it's one of the reasons I don't play the game yet.

However, I don't think it's intentional (to simulate slow head movement in the cockpit, that would be silly). The cursor movement in the cockpit is slow as well. What I would like is some "Enable raw mouse input" option in the settings.

2 seconds seems a long time. The mouse is much slower than headtracking so what you are experiencing isn't to model 'realism' but probbly a lag issue (otherwise it would be the same with headtracking enabled).

I just tried my mouse look-araound and took about 1 second to check six -glad I don't have to rely on the mouse for sure.
