Not sure how to discribe it..
But here goes.. I can move my throttle from MIN to MAX.. but the in-game throttle does not move from MIN to MAX Example.. I can move my throttle from 100% down to around 60% and the in-game throttle does not move at all.. RPM do not change either.. As I move my throttle down further, around 55% the in game throttle starts to move.. I say move but really more of a jump and I see the RPM move too.. Put another way, the game is only responding to about half of my throttle movements, which in turn makes controlling the thorttle imposable, in short the in game throttle is either full on or full off, more of a WWI style blip switch than throttle.. If this was not a STEAM product I would simply un-install and re-install to see what happens.. but since it is STEAM I dont want to un-install it because the install takes about 3 hours Anyway, anyone have any ideas? PS it is not a Windows calibration issue.. I bring up the Windows Game Controller and the throttle works fine as far as Windows (Win7 64bit) is concerned. |

I might try redoing your throttle mapping in the controls section.Make sure you highlight it and check the input/output graphs.

Tried that..
Even went as far as to del and re-asign them Problem still remains ![]() Is it just me.. Or is it silly to expect the 'basics' to work? I mean I get the whole graphics issues what with the new graphics engine.. but Joystick stuff? Is it crazy of me to expect that stuff to work in version 1.0? |

Normally the default settings for joysticks are wrong (in this game) and remapping them fixes it but you have to make sure you save your changes or they will default back to the messed up ones.

Well chalk this one up under RTFM!
I had the 100% 'position' set too low.. That setting is something I have not seen in sims before.. Basically you can define the range of the input device that is used by the game move it to 100% and it now works smoothly Thanks for the help! I will say this, you would think the default would be 100%, but it defaults at 0%, I usally dont mess with any settings until after flying for awhile.. In that the defaults typically are good to go for me.. But in this case they were not Last edited by ACE-OF-ACES; 07-29-2011 at 09:03 PM. |
