Vanilla install to latest patch - what do I need?

Hi, I know there is probably an existing thread on what needs to be installed from start to current version but I'm all searched out.

Just got a hardcopy version - what do I need patch-wise or will steam take care of it from here?

Also, any important config tweaks or handy tips?

Steam will automatically patch you to the latest version.

You can choose to install Beta Patch #2 if you wish to after Steam has updated your game.

Any tweak advice can only be given when people know your rig.

I believe that Steam will update it up to the current version.Unless you have auto update turned off.

4GB 800Mhz DDR2
GTX260 core 216 (896mb)
260.99 nvidia drivers (I think??)
