Default P-47 vs p-51

I have yet to fly the P-47, however I love to fly the P-51.. How does the P-47 perform compared to the P-51? What are the Pro's and cons?

Extremely tough and takes a lot of punishment, excellent Dive and climb, outrageous armament capability for CTA/Srike games and best suited for B&Z in BOP (it isn't a T&B'r so Strike and CTA are where you see it mostly). The D-Day markings make you a sitting duck in CTA (same as the the P51-D). Should have been available as part of the unlocks rather than a DL. I think you would like it.

Ah my Big blue Bus I love the P47 its seems more stable the p51 . One of the best CTA birds It lands like a dream and Brakes well turns well and Undercarige is strong . Plus those 8 50's tear up other planes in a big hurry.
best 9 bucks ive spent on PSN

I had the misfortune of taking part in CTA on Saturday. It was P47 vs 152s in realistic mode. The P47s wiped the floor with us. Everyone on the 152 team agreed it's a real dog. I only flew it once before that in a race. It's pretty nippy but has turning circle of a supertanker. In that CTA I went into a diving strafe and pulled up well in advance but still plowed into the deck. Armament is seriously underpowered too.
It beggars belief the devs stuck this in the game over say a typhoon or mosquito

Yesterday i was chasing quite easily a P47 while flying into a BF109 F4....i downloaded all the f4 clips against that bird and it was still flying!!! ( simulator ) It can take lot of damage for sure!... almost like an il2 i think....

What i have to do to unlock it?

I love my jug and use her for all missions. Going back to your original question regarding the performance of the P47 vs. p51 , I've seldom had much trouble with any mustangs I've been up against. The jug's so tough and stable whereas the p51 is very giddy and fragile I think anyway. Stay clear of head-on shootouts though or you'll be toast.

Default all in all just another brick in the wall....

no one was online when i got in last night so i decided to enjoy my new ac in the training mode. ( recently finished all the campaigns ( finally!) and got a He 162 (as well as the P47 and the Ta 152). in the training missions...in realistic...they flew like wet dreams. i was smoking everything i flew against...no matter the difficulty and...even, yes, alcohol WAS involved. but from what i hear from you all here this was a teaser. so i am guessing the "training missions" do not translate into actual online game play when you get to dogfighting. what a freaking let down! If they flew this good in online combat...i doubt many here would be as many complaining here as there are....<<<< devs hint (for what good it does). anton, dude, we need to have a serious talk....you want guys to beta test your sequel...i can give you a few names ( and actually and honestly...i am NOT one of them!!).
