Frustated..

I need help getting past the mission "nuts!" The objective is to protect a formation of planes I shoot down all enemy birds as I'm escorting a group of planes and take out every single anti-air weapons they throw at us but nothing happens the group of planes just keeps on circling Bostange(spelling?) this goes on and on... What am i doing wrong?
