Default Replaying the game

Has anyone finished the game and started over yet? I'm wondering how the replayability is.

I haven't finished but imo, there is alot of replayability.

Three different classes, random items, same battles are not really ever the same, different skills, spells to use, different units to use, overall there are many ways to extend the playability of this game.

Also the game is huge and alot to do and see.

I am looking forward to playing again just so I know what is where and where to go and do, imo, that makes it more fun. I see myself playing this a long time.

I have played the game through already as a Hard Paladin, and now I'm playing as a Hard Mage. The game obviously remains mostly the same, but there are several differences in terms of your strategy against the enemies as a Mage compared to a Paladin. Also, it's a good thing that the items are randomized, so that adds even more interest.

2 run throughs will be enough for me for one holiday period, however. I've got The Witcher: Enhanced Edition sitting here waiting for me to play it.

I haven't finished the game yet, but I have started like 5 times already

It's an awesome game and I'm sure it will have replayability of HoM&M series.

I completed the game yesterday as a mage. Restarted as paladin right after, with exactly the same enthusiasm

I have re-started this game like many many times, finished it only few times (6)

And still planning to play it over (even as I won't have the thrill from exploring, and I will know all the quest solutions ahead, - the most important : artefacts, spells and army income is randomized so the gameplay average has the ability to not get below specific limit, no matter how many times you will replay it.

But here are the main reasons for replaying the game from the start:
there are 3 main characters (mage, paladin, warrior) each with specific skills, style, strategy
There are four difficulties (easy ~ Impossible)

Till you haven't played for each of the main characters - you will miss a lot of the game
For the difficulties it is optional (not everyone is eager to re-think each step of combat or adventure move like in chess game with Gasparov - 300 turns ahead)
But at least easy (enjoying the instant winning without great effort for epxerienced players - or removing the fear from unknown game for startes) and Normal (Ok, I have finished easy, let see if I can do it on normal - as well... it is normal -> everyone should be able to finish it on normal... )

But for me the reason why I re-started the game after all was not the character or difficulty reason, not even the "let's find all artefacts and wifes and children" reason, but the fact that I can focus on specific army : UNDEAD, DEMON (not just changing the armies as I play - but try to get specific army asap in the game and hold it till the end... it is making the game much more interesting as you will lose the combination bonuses, but gain morale and better artefact bonuses - or at least - you will see if it is possible (as the number of creatures are limited) - but this is me - as I have very strong HOMM axiom running in my blood - hence I tend to keep one-type creatures in my army

I've finished the Russian version twice, as normal Warrior and hard Mage (that's with the old 1.5.0 patch where the mage was substantially weaker). Playing Impossible Paladin with the English version now.

hawker, the three classes seem pretty well balanced in the English version. Do you agree that the game balance has been fixed up in version 1.64? My Hard Mage is going just fine.

i replaying now

played game with an firemage lvl 30 on normal. used alot of fire rains and advanced through game fast. got alot of difficulty reaching dragons and demons later on and had to buy alot of new spells army and change to other tactic.

i am now playing an paladin on impossible. darn hard i must say. takes forever to advance and loads of running around and drawn out fights to use all mana on resurection in every fight to avoid casualites. altough game is challanging and i plan very long ahead whut units to use and whut spells to learn. i am lvl 10 now in freedom islands and every single unit patroling are match slighty stronger or strong for me. eastern islands is owerpowering all over and that means suicide for me hehe
i found an banner giving me -30% leadership on griffins so i will start use that one as soon i make griffin king quest.

extremly fun
