Default What is activate/paste console

I am finishing up all my key assignments now, and am about to create my joystick file - one step closer!

I notice these two options in the game menu in controller section.
Activate Console
Paste Console
What do these do, should I make key assignments for them?

I also notice in the same menu, there are two exit game options and both with default key asssignments - one is alt X, the other is alt F4. Is this just to give a choice of what is used?

Lastly, I also noticed the m key is assigned by default to two different functions - mirror, and map. Would this not cause a conflict? Should I change one of these? I did not think a single key could actually be assigned to two different functions?

I would sincerely appreciate feedback on these remaining questions, once I have them resolved I am off to building my joystick file , yay!

Thanks,
