I start up the game, first launch crosscountry, i got steady 60fps with Vsync, really smooth, no microstuttering at all, really enjoyable flight.
Then i goto other missions, London sightseen etc etc. Then i launch crosscountry again without game restart and i got 30-40fps with microstuttering, not enjoyable flight anymore. FPS checked with FRAPS, and i see that FPS reduce right away with my eyes too, it's not smooth anymore. No changing any setting bethween flights? This is really strange behauvior. Kankkis |

You got 5970 too, something problem with crossfire maybe then, because if you use pseudo you have allways crossfire disabled and no this problem.
I dont get so good performance with pseudo because i cannot use vsync(terrible tearing without) and crossfire is disabled. Really annoying problem, if i want smooth flight whole time i must keep myself in same mission all the time, because mission changes loss my good performance. I got this problem before latest beta too, it's not beta problem. Last edited by Kankkis; 10-09-2011 at 11:12 AM. |

Yeah, I had the exact same thing happening to me with my 5970 in true full screen.
I think it must be xfire issues. They simply do not have it working at all well. I eventually just accepted it and have since changed to a GTX580 3 gig card and the game runs smooth consistently now (although I still get the stutters like everyone else). Not really a smart solution though, buying a new high end card when the 5970 is a fine card in its own right...but that's what I did. cheers |
