Default is facebook intended to make people dumb?

the char limitation forces shallow thoughts

but i just found out to my hilarity theres like but not not like

this encourages viral trolling in which something with quality is overlooked while goatse style succedds when the user gives a grade of pass or pass or not grade at all

i cant believe this is coincidence this has to be social engineering, as a matter of fact if it wasnt because of the char limit i disocver in my first facebook post id hardly post here

seems facebook and twitters crab, the intersting stuff is in the ot section of forums

comunication via internet is "dumb" without eye contact and a lot of other things that make human communication really human.

i think that its the easiest and "coward" way of knowing new girls/guys, its easier than making new realations in the street or bars but of course without emotion

Facebook is the equivalent of a cheeseburger and fries, quick and tempting to indulge in, but in the end not very fulfilling and with very little substance.

Facebook has no character limitations... you are thinking of Twitter.

All that said.... I used to be friends with someone some time ago and she would moan about how she was closing down her facebook account as it was all just bitching, two faced people stabbing each other in the back and spreading gossip! She was going to open a Twitter account instead as then she could get loads of science feeds etc.

I pointed out to her that, on my facebook, we discuss politics, philosophy, history... as well as just larking around.... and, perhaps her experience of facebook had way more to do with the quality of the company she keeps?

A few months passed and she decided to close down her Twitter account. Why? Because it was just bitching, two faced people stabbing each other in the back and spreading gossip!

Needless to say... we aren't friends anymore. Turned out she was a two faced gossiper. (Oh the irony! Should have seen that one coming, I guess!)

Facebook is like most things.... you get out of it what you put in.

Personal responsibility is the key.

Sex may be more satisfying with increased emotions, it works perfectly well in the absence of any emotions too though.
