I live in Arizona, which is a red state, unlike Ohio. In our state workman's comp only pays for on-the-job injuries and there's next to nothing when it comes to cash from the state to pay for medical expenses. Most of what's available is for those who are below the poverty line (which is drawn far too low). Hell, our state legislature just voted to sell of state buildings and then lease them back to "save money". They also cut programs while at the same time trying to abolish the property tax. And yes my brother is living at home without a job. He's 14. Fourteen year olds don't have to work in America (at least not
yet). He is kind of dumb, though. You got that right!
I do apologize for being overly harsh and insinuating. I should have been more polite and made it clear that I thought you didn't know enough about what the situation was like in
other states. I, on the other hand, made the same mistake of looking at the American situation through the lens of my own state. For this as well I apologize. I'm still pretty set on emigrating, though. Health care was never the primary reason for that decision.
