Well, in a way, AP is much harder than KBTL. Overall level diffivulty has been increased and now even in normal, you're in for some challenge. The things for a mage get harder because you start off with Flaming arrow and not fireball as it was in KBTL. Still, it's pretty much manageable with buffs/debuffs helped with an occasional flame arrow in the beginning and stronger spells later. At least here every point in intellect counts
