Default Update

I wanted to bump this post and include information.

This also happens with the Beaufighter.

Applying manifold pressure, increasing RPM with a damaged elevator (one shot off) makes the nose go DOWN; pulling back power makes the nose go UP.

Counter-intuitive characteristic.

There should be no down-force when applying power (all things being equal with elevator trim positions, etc.); the plane should increase AoA, not decrease.

This only occurs with the B-24 is missing 1/2 of its elevator.

Notes:
Don't pay too much attention to the commentary. It's made for reference purposes at the time and in no way tries to infer "absolute knowledge" of IL2, its flight model, etc.
It's merely... circumstantial. It was recorded to go along with the track (also attached).

Adding power to a B-24 in 4.13.3m with elevator damage brings the nose down, not up. Decreasing power brings the nose up, not down.
This is "counter intuitive" and is so much so that I had to make this post and video to have it looked at by DT.
