Dmage is not the same, we have more detailed damage model, than in original.
And, BTW, that's only two and a half years of development - which is not average time for a completely new game in a new (for studio) genre.

also i loved crashing my planes on il2 pc and watching the plane rip apart into hundreds of pieces.
will that still happen or will the planes explode more easily?
