Well, I know that after you go to Dragon world and come back, you can't go there again. So this may be the problem for you too.
You will have to load an earlier save.
Tip for Dragon World: you don't need to fight anything if you don't want. It's quite easy to wait for the dragons to be furthest away, pinch the egg and scoot out.
