it has been a while since I beat him but I am playing on Fire and Ice and did not get my wings yet
If you have a flying horse get trolls, they will regen every round and never die also look for ice giants.
with those 2 you should be good... you can also run Royal Snakes since they do not get countered
Are you running fire and Ice? If so I can get give you some better advice... and what class are you and what spells do you have?
