both the cockpit and external view of the RoF BS aircraft is pretty low resolution and lacking much of the detail already seen in CoD currently, pretty much confirming the earlier indications that many of the good elements we already have in CoD will not be present in RoF's ww2 BS sim. also looks like they are using painted textures to give an illusion of detail, rather then actually model the detail in 3 dimensions like we have in CoD, you cant even read the dials in RoF's BS for ex

no landscape detail either. having large flat white open fields in a winter scenery without needing to give much scenery detail is an easy way to reduce pc cpu/gpu resource load for a demo video, but it doesnt bode well for what has always been one of the biggest valid complaints against RoF: a lifeless boring world devoid of detail or life.

and even with all those glaring omissions, if you look at the scenery being modeled there is a clear visibility bubble that barely extends 2 or 3 km beyond the plane, with medium distance objects being much fuzzier and blured, and the further horizon being blurred even more. and beyond the immediate 2 - 3 km around you in that video you can also see how bad these medium/far distance objects are shimmering as their demo pc is struggling to display the more distant objects (trees, hedges ?), very obvious in the first 1/3 of the video !

RoF BS demo video looks more like a console game then a high end pc simulator like CoD

first, the current beauty of CoD

compared to the blurry low rez mess of RoF BS
