I think you make perfectly valid points there Buster Dee however it can get to the point where the programming can become detrimental. We actually considered the tracking nature of CHL and decided to go with the static system because CHL operators swept and tracked targets which actually left gaps elsewhere. The mobile RDF was in use in the BOB and was used to plug gaps after the attacks on RDF sites during August.
It can be done but becomes unbelievably hard to actually test too, and each extra calculation adds load. We also looked into voice direction but the required vocabulary is missing from the sound files. We would need to record an entire sound pack and have people install it in order to gain commands from a controller vocally. The present announcements may seem ok, but they are from nearby aircraft, not Fighter Command
Presently the current system groups humans players flying in formations along with AI - no other system does this.
