The mods for SOW will be more controlled than for other sims, and will allow more possibility to get content that the users want now. Il-2 was never "meant" to be modded so while there is some good stuff being made modders have had to work in the dark and yes not all the stuff is good.

It is far better when the devs are friendly to modders, like for the Silent Hunter series, and the players can then benefit.

I really think there is room for some control so we could guard quality (I agree with Galway here, Il-2 was better in that respect than the free for all of MSFS) and online integrity. We also can have the participation of talented people working for the betterment of the sim.
