SlipBall,

I don't fly RoF that much either.

It's a fun sim/game for dogfighting, it really is, but I really am not very good at it as I fly so infrequently. Some players have mastered the totally non-historical sniper shot from long distances which takes some of the fun out of it. Add to that the rather dubious damage modelling and it can be a bit odd. Still fun though.

There are lots of aircraft to choose from for ground attack. Everything from the "heavy" bombers of the day (Handley Page and Gotha) to the two seaters, to bombed up single seaters. Overall my favorite is the Bristol Fighter. It's fast, can carry a good load out, and can often fight it's way out of trouble if your escorts get caught up elsewhere.

I have tried an offline campaign or two, but just like every other sim I get quicly bored offline. I am not one to be an honest judge of offline, as I am very biased about it. I don't like it in any flight sim.

Get the free trial and give it a go. It is fun, but like every other combat flight sim that has ever been made, it has it's issues.

I will say that stick time in the old kites will improve your WW2 flying. 1940's planes are so easy.
