This photograph was taken over the channel at an altitude of 4000 meters.
In Photograph is a doomed Wellington bomber. The smoke plumage is coming from its starboard engine.
Note: After this picture was taken the pilot's of 9./ZG26 went on to down five more Wellington bomber's before returning to Caffiers where they celebrated their victory by drinking 110 bottles of beer.
