Here's the way I believe it works.

If you shoot a 109 and only put one bullet into his plane, when he lands and the plane de-spawns you will get a score of 1.00 for him if no other plane or flak has hit him.

If you pilot kill someone at 5000m and the pilot hits [esc], creates another plane and the original plane does not crash because it's flying straight and level, you will not get any score at all because the plane will de-spawn before it hits the ground. (60 seconds after the pilot hits [esc])

If you shoot at a 109 and do a little bit of damage and then flak does more damage to the same plane you will get a proportional amount of the damage done as a score. Say you punctured a rad but the flak took out the engine completely you might get 0.10 and the flak would get 0.90. Same goes if two planes are shooting at the same 109; you'll share the kill based on who did the most critical damage.

Unfortunately the de-spawn script is almost always to blame for the lack of credit you may observe, the de-spawn is necessary though as if it were removed airfields would be littered with aircraft and eventually after a while the server would grind to a halt.

That's exactly my question ...

The scoring system can be different for each server?

Keller Thanks for your answer
