Well the people post one of my videos ,one way is the one on the video,Matte-painting technique and digital painting together,a nice winning combination.Some times i am taking the photo of a simulator as a "shadow" and i am painting above...thats hard and not my preferred method but you are learning a lot and the results most of the time are great like the Vulcan i paint here http://roen911.deviantart.com/art/Av...=17....another way is the 3D method

To get results to look Like 3D on a 2D image or a picture of a model just needs a lot of time and good "eye" just a lot of practise
