i have almost all bond movies (except for Dr.No and Her Majesties secret service) and i have watched them all, many times over, including the currently missing 2. For me the best Bond is Timothy Dalton (read the books and you know why
), in second place comes Craig, then Brosnan, Connery, Lazenby and in last place Moore, he was the worst of all, way too shallow in his portrait of Bond. Bond does what he does out of Patriotism, but he doesn´t like it at all. Remember what Dalton said in "The living Daylights", "If M fires me for it, i´ll thank him for that". Connery, Moore and Lazenby don´t even touch that aspect of the character with a cattle prod. What Craig did near the end of "Casino Royale", quitting his job at MI6, would be unthinkable to connery and co., hence why i rate him in second place. He just continues with his assignment with MI6, so he can get revenge for the love he lost. I have yet to see Skyfall, so that rating isn´t final.
