i have been thinking the same lately, particularly after rereading a few of luthiers and B6's cryptic quotes from the last few months
my suspicion in a feb/march 2013 release for BoM
i'd wager a fiver on that, what odds can i get ?
another though is that some of their remarks could also indicate they will skip BoM completely and release it as an MMO instead, which i think would be a major mistake. first they need to prove their CoD/BoM product is working and recoup some of their good reputation and customer trust, and only then expand to he next project. the MMO has to many new variables in it, and potential issues that can get out of control, resulting in time loss, or under delivering on what they promise. that second blow would kill the whole project, a loss to us all as a result.
so my hope is, BoM early in 2013, and an announcement on the MMO project that will follow.
one very big downside is that i hear whispers from several directions that inclusion of "end user made content" and 3e party projects (planes, ground vehicles etc) have been significantly postponed, or even cancelled completely for CoD/BoM. that would spell trouble for us because it means their "user participation" that was planned for the SoW series has been axed (indicating a major change in the project, eg the MMO). the il2 community involvement is what made il2 the great series it became, locking them out in favour of some vague MMO project with lots of additional payware from 1c would not attract the same enthusiasm i fear, and luthiers lack of urgency in addressing flight model issues and weapons errors is a further indication of that their project priorities have changed significantly.
