I am currently on a Kaspersky Rescue Disk, unable to restore to an earlier point and PC won't boot at all, just a black screen. Waiting for a disk to reinstall windows currently, it's absolutley borked.. The plot thickens!

My bet is this was the problem. In the new patch files were changed on the 1st or 2nd boot (it was 2nd for me) of the game.
