Raaid, go and google 'dippy bird' there are plenty of pages that describe how these work... They get the energy from the Sun! It's absorbed by the chemical, it rises up the tube, tips the bird, the water then evapourates and the balance is tipped the other way.
Gravity is also at work here.. It's not rocket science.
