Why would a company release an SDK if they can make the content themselves and then sell it... think about it.

I blame Call of Duty myself...
That is a good point..

But personally I would rather pay for an add-on..

Be it a plane or what ever..

Knowing it went through the same process that all other items went through..

Because to be honest.. Most mods are not even worth the FREE price we pay for them!

In my definition of a perfect world..

It would work this way..

They would provide an SDK.. A person would develope something, say an aircraft

Than submit it to 1C.. Where 1C woudl than 'review' the aircraft 3D model, cockpit, FM, DM, etc.. to see that it meets 1C's standards

Than 1C would include it in the basline game as an update.. And post it on thier site for DLC.. And the person that made it would recive a percentage of the DLC price..

Basically just like RoF does it now, but, where a 3rd party can submit stuff and make a little coin for doing so

And if for some reason 1C decided the product was not up to 1C standards.. Said person could still offer it up for others to use.. As a 3rd party un-aproved mod for those who want to use it, but at that point it would require everyone to DL the mod to be able to play online toghter..

Basically just like IL-2 mods does it now

Theres a reason for instrumenting a plane for test..
That being a pilots's 'perception' of what is going on can be very different from what is 'actually' going on.
