A true free market with modest checks and balances, combined with a plain language legal system and provision for hanging politicians that don't act in the best interest of their constituents would clean up most of the problems.

Not all corporations and large companies are run by greedy people, and not all rich people are greedy, most of them just work hard. and smart.

And what the hell does the golden rule have to do with it?
sorry bro but Socialism works when properly managed...

Unions in the US are considered socialists even though they represent the working class. In Germany, it’s required for worker representation to be half of board members of companies. In Germany, the industrial and financial sectors are highly regulated keeping jobs from being outsourced and ensuring main street benefits rather than just wall street. According to conservative ideology, this kind of socialist practices and union power should destroy the economy and destroy innovation and yet the complete opposite is the result.

Most Americans, I suspect, believe we're losing manufacturing because we can't compete against cheap Chinese Labor. But Germany has remained a manufacturing giant notwithstanding the rise of East Asia, making high-end products with a workforce that is more unionised and better paid than ours. German exports came to $1.1 trillion in 2009 -- roughly $125 billion more than we exported, though there are just 82 million Germans to our 310 million Americans. Germany's yearly trade balance went from a deficit of $6 billion in 1998 to a surplus of $267 billion in 2008 -- the same year the United States ran a trade deficit of $569 billion. Over those same 10 years, Germany's annual growth rate per capita exceeded ours.

add to the fact that they have a FULLY functioning socialised medical system (Bismarck) and of the 16 states in Germany 11 of them have free college education (hmmm smells like socialism). they want you educated and productive not some unemployable drain on the system.

You will also find that it is not only Germany that does this...

The Nordic model refers to the economic and social models of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland). This particular adaptation of the mixed market economy is characterised by more generous welfare states (relative to other developed countries), which are aimed specifically at enhancing individual autonomy, ensuring the universal provision of basic human rights and stabilising the economy. It is distinguished from other welfare states with similar goals by its emphasis on maximising labour force participation, promoting gender equality, egalitarian and extensive benefit levels, large magnitude of redistribution, and liberal use of expansionary fiscal policy. This has included high degrees of labour union membership. In 2008, labour union density was 67.5% in Finland, 67.6% in Denmark, and 68.3% in Sweden. In comparison, union membership was 11.9% in the United States and 7.7% in France.[106] The Nordic Model, however, is not a single model with specific components or rules; each of the Nordic countries has its own economic and social models, sometimes with large differences from its neighbours.
socialism is not some freedom ending monster that you have been led to believe it is...

p.s the golden rule? who has the gold rules...and that has not changed
