LOL!! Avro!! Common factor? Yes, your dates are completely arbitary. That's their common factor. Britains policy towards mainland Europe has been consistent for a thousand years-since William the Conqueror-we don't like to see any single prince or state dominate the mainland; therefore we have fiddled in Europe for a millenia. It's a great, action-packed story! You should read it sometime.
