Tried cycling mixture, no effect - slightly lower rpms on lean. I recorded a short track to review, but guess what? in the track there was no shaking, no grinding metal, and steady(ish) needles for rpm/temps. mind you the track record is still not getting the engine right so I don't know.

Anyone else had this one? I think that's twice for me, the first time I thought I'd cooked the engine but now I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

Regards, Sam.
The Merlin engine does fail in CoD if you maintain max boost and max revs for long enough and probably also if they are higher than recommended. I think its the Constant Speed unit that fails and that doesn't involve excessive engine temps. I don't know that its accurately modelled but its happened to me several time when I've been pushing too hard for too long.
