The zombies opened the side door and, for some ridiculous reason, Jimmy had gotten out of the driver's seat and was standing by the door. I guess you could say that he was preparing for Rick and Carl to enter that way and that the zombies simply lucked out and pulled the handle the right way, BUT, the obvious choice is to simply drive away with them safely on the roof!!!!

That's what I'd assumed he'd do, especially as we've seen in earlier episodes (one of the early ones this series when Andrea was stuck in the RV on her own and Dale dropped a screwdriver or something in to her) that there's a skylight on the top of the RV that they could have dropped in through and been 'safely' (as safe as Jimmy was
) inside the RV. I assumed that was the plan, and got really confused when Jimmy got out of his seat.
