whats more annoying is that our games do not portray any decision making or morale choices that could slightly be concieved as related to real life warfare. And if they dont study arma whilst they study what we all know they will study.... theres another problem.
Only 15% of ww2 soldiers were willing to kill But 100% of COD/BF players are out to kill theoretically.

For each study that shows that there is no link between video games and violence I'm sure you will find one that shows that there is, but that's beside the point.
Like most other high tech countries Australia uses virtual combat simulators for pilot, tank, naval and infantry training. Why? It's got nothing to do with making the trainees more violent, it's all about creating conditioned responses.
You go through a series of exercises and if the training is successful you consistently make the
right responses.
COD is supposed to be a WWII Combat flight sim. Now I have no problem if simulators have a way of penalizing kills that are not consistent with the period being simulated.
This doesn't have to be in part of a points system.
Let’s say you shoot down a couple of planes on your own side. One might be a mistake, but after a couple your own team mates would either kick you from the server or shoot you down themselves. What’s wrong with the AI pilots being made capable of the making a similar decision and attempting to shoot you down as well.
A lot of people are asking for a ranking and awards system for campaigns. If we do get one hopefully any medals or advancement will depend upon your actions and you're not going to get medals or increase your rank if you don't achieve your objectives. The opposite of that is if you go around hitting inappropriate targets there should be a series of penalties like being stripped of rank, thrown in the stockade, or taken and put up against the wall and shot!.
Should you get a DFC if you've just plastered your main objective but on the way home you hit a target of opportunity and it turns out to be a column of refugees?
I would
hope that any awards system would be able to take a situation like that into account.
Cheers!
