Since you seem more interested in being "right on the internet" than viewing history in it's proper context and learning something about why people who lose 75% of their infrastructure (In not just one town but every single major town in their nation) aren't nice to shot down bomber crews I'll leave you to it.
M8, srsly, if you watch the program, one of the "bomber boys" was a Jew who fled Germany after his whole family was perscuted and he said himself it was a terrible thing that civilians were hurt and due to there lack of decent equipment it was near impossible to precision bomb from 18,000 - 20,000 feet, he then goes on to say at the end of the day those civilians could have been workers in the factorys that added the German war machine.

Again you posted a pic of a bombed Dresden, so in reply i posted a Blitzed Clydebank witch is a Scottish town attached to Glasgow and was devasted, and then put there only human!!??!!??!! The roll of the SS/Gastapo well considering they labled the Bomber boys and commandos "terrorists" and were to be interorgated/shot ...... the the last pic in my last post, really explains the cruelty and brutallity, really explains alot and were talking about a specific subject and NOT the second WW as a hole.

I agree with the comment below aswell, war is terrible got friends in the British Army who have lost comrades, so im fully aware of hardships endured by both civilians and service personnel.

With hindsight it's easy to say that bombing civillians was wrong, but at the time the German people had to be shown what war was like. They quite happily shelled and bombed the hell out of many european cities. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

Having said that, plenty of German bomber crews were killed on the ground by the British. It's the nature of the beast. If you've just watched your town being destroyed you're gonna be pretty pissed off if you're suddenly confronted by one of the people who did it.

Dropping bombs on cities is wrong, killing baled out bomber crews is wrong, murdering surrendered soldiers is wrong, war is wrong. The whole argument about area bombing being 'wrong' is pointless, the whole bloody thing was wrong.

It was however, fought (on the Allied side) for a very 'right' reason.
Hilter (and by proxy the German people) simply could not be allowed to get away with it.

EDIT : You've also got to consider the fact that in '40/'41 London was bombed for 76 consecutive nights - Like I said - If you dish it out you have to expect that it might come back to haunt you - and then some..
