I use Buildings Amout and TExtures in HIGH: good compromise between performance and quality. I'm not in BF3 running on the streets with a gun... 
With Buildings Amout set to UNLIMITED and Texture to ORIGINAL, you'll see less "LEGO buildings", for sure! But really i like the extra FPS provided by some more "LEGO"! I like LEGO!  |
so you are ok with thsoe ugly cities? thay just look worst than il2 where the transaction occours far mroe softely and fro mreatter distance.
Actually your example is just plain stupid, in BF3 you dont need too see more than 5 to 6 buildings since you are on the ground, in COD whoever you need too see from greater distances.
