There's a thread here about something called RamDisk which means you allocate a part of your RAM as a disk where you can put all or some of the CLOD files for faster loading etc.
The conclusion was that it didn't help with framerates. I and other with me interpret that as that a SSD disk won't do anything for the game.
When it comes to VRAM I read about someone who said CLOD took max 1,5GB of his 2GB. I dunno. I woudn't go less than 1,5.
Gonna check usage myself (got 2GB) but dunno which program to use.
When running W7 and quad core you can see in task manager the usage of each core. When I launch CLOD I can see how it uses all four cores.
Neither one goes to max but they are all used.
Note, I didn't have this computer before the patch that balanced the load on all cores so can't say if anything changed.
