the game filed up to 1200mb of video ram over london and may even at time reach 1500mb+, firing/damage model is also a CPU hog
so having a powerful GPU and pushing it further with a uber CPU is a good combo
2500k/2600k & Gtx580/6970 2GB/GTX560 2GB (palit special edition) is the way to go for playing this game on high settings and by chance all those sweeties are available on the market
maybe a bit expensive yet, but in one year we will be all playing this game maxed, how much did we wait for il2 to play it smoothly perfect ?
