^ Careful with the car analogy, some people will tell you how "unfitting" and "stupid" it is...
I agree with you for the most part, though. The only thing I beg to deffer is what you said about Ubisoft. Maybe you're right and they forced Oleg and his team to release the game like this, but I can actually "understand" if they did. I mean, this game is in development for so many years by now, and if it's getting pushed back over and over again by the developer, publishers finally have it one day and then: Forced release. Not nice, but understandable, at least to me.

I mean you even stated it isn't playable for you..... that's horrible.
You are a thief of your own money if you accept a product wich doesn't work.
You are talking about "dooming the games future", but if we accept this buggy game, developers in the future will do the same over and over again.
I don't like this over the top "we support kind of attitude". It's not like the developers are doing you a favour, it's business. You should get what you paid for.
I totally understand that especially a simulation is not just a product like any other, but it should at least be playable, c'mon!

My thoughts exactly. Some people should accept that there's a difference between "hating" / "whining" and legit complaints.
I loved IL-2 to death and I still do, but CoD in it's current state is nothing that excuses the enourmous development time. I mean, can you guys remember the first "cloud trailer" that we got shown when 1946 was released, being told that CoD will be realeased "soon"? Now, five years later we get a product that simply wasn't ready for release yet. And I don't want to blame anyone here, not Oleg, nor 1C nor Ubisoft (I really don't like Ubi, though...). But the game is simply not working properly the way we see it right now.
Don't get me wrong, I want to like CoD. And I'm pretty sure that it can be fixed and become just as great as the original game, if they actually get the chance to fix it. But I have the bad feeling that this game will "flop". And not because it's a "niche game" (it is, of course), but because it's a bad working niche game in its' current state. I'm pretty excited to see the first reviews of gaming sites, honestly I don't think they will be a big advertisement for the game...
I really hope they'll make enough profit with CoD, but right now I can actually understand if people feel "cheated" with what we got.
