Oh, come on Oldschool, mate. Not one historian? What about Luke? Mark? Matthew? We have textual (archeological) evidence to date Matthew to within 20 years of Christ's death, and Mark shortly after. Luke wrote his two excellent histories with the benefit if these books and personal interviews with people who knew Jesus. There is more evidence for Jesus of Nazareth being a quite real person than for Augustus Caesar. There is one thing that there is no evidence for though. A Body. Had the Jews and the Romans been able to produce a body when the Christians were making such a nuisance of themselves, the little Jewish cult that was saying that this itinerant Rabbi who died on a Roman cross wasn't dead after all would have died just as surely as the rest of the Messiah cults.
Blind faith is a fools faith, and anyone who tells you otherwise, doesn't have any kind of real faith. If you hang around them long enough, you'll see. (As I'm sure you have)
BTW, Oldschool I don't believe the Catholics have the answers either, as they left the Bible behind long ago, but Jesus told me I have to love them too, so I do.
