OPERATIONAL INFORMATION:-73 Squadron:
Squadron Scramble!!!
Large formations of enemy a/c seen heading towards Reims (Laon on our map). Last reported at Angels 20, last known heading approx 120.
Dont just stand there, get a ruddy move on!
Aircraft: Hawker Hurricane 12lb boost
Skin: TP_1940_Hurricane (markings off)
Arming: Default & 100% fuel
METHOD:- Take off from Reims-Champagne and head towards Reims. Try to climb to Angels 20 as soon as possible. Bombers are priority! Be mindful of enemy fighters escorting the bomber formations.
INTELLIGENCE:- Low cloud and worsening enemy ground fire is hampering our reconnaisance flights, so information is sparse. We expect the enemy to continue to target communication centres.
METEOROLOGICAL REPORT:-
6/10ths cloud at 1500ft extending to 3,000ft.
Wind 090 at 04 knots.
Visibility Poor to fair.
