Built a FreeTrack device for less than 10€ and the software is free so hardly can talk about elitism there. In the "other version" I use to play has no problems with Bf109 and 6DOF if AHS rings a bell
But I see the point, would require quite some amount of work to go through most of the cockpits for one feature.
Still..6DOF + proper wide screen support would be nice at some point
