@cksamascus; it stops working so you should get that patent after you get plenty trophies before it. The patent is defiled so it doesn't collect anymore trophies.
Think of it as the cost of a better trainer, since Arian gives more units per unit sold than the other trainers.
Of course the game could warn you about it (or does it?)
