This happened to me a number of times
It's fun, really. I'm unsure if this is a bug, since the brontors' retaliation ability is an active one, which means it must be triggered under certain conditions. I surmise ball of lightning's attack ability falls into the category of actions that trigger that condition and if there is a unit nearby, it will be the poor victim.
